Our Story

Haven House is owned and managed by two Bay Area residents, Harry and Niamh van Meines. Harry is the administrator of Haven House. His philosophy is to create an environment in which our residents, their families and the staff can lead as happy and fulfilling a life as possible. This involves hiring and retaining friendly, compassionate and skilled caregivers whose goals and passions are to take great care of our elderly residents and treat them as family. Niamh has been a nurse for over 30 years. She has specialized as a Nurse Practitioner in the hospice and palliative care field in the last 20+ years and brings this expertise to Haven House.
